There is always time to fundraise!

Are you hoping to raise more funds, but having trouble motivating? Are you holding off on registering because you think it’s too late to fundraise? We at HERA say, this is a perfect time to get moving!

Here’s some text to send a letter or e-mail out to potential donors. It’s easy!

Friends and Family,
As some of you may know, I’ve been heavily involved with the HERA Climb4Life event in Salt Lake City. (Write your personal story. Just a few lines will do.)
This September, during the 10th Anniversary of the Climb4Life Utah event, I’ll be raising funds for ovarian cancer education and research because, if caught early enough, most women will survive ovarian cancer. Will you help me in this effort?

Please donate to honor the women and girls in your life. No amount is too small. Together we can make a difference.

To donate, please visit http://herafoundation.beta.mystagedsite.com/c4l-utah-2011/ and click on “Donate to a participant.”

Thanks in advance,
(Your name here)

See, wasn’t that easy? Have you already sent your letter? Try again? Sometimes people just need a reminder. Here are some other ways to gather funds:
• Ask a local business you frequent to donate
• Sell some old items of yours on KSL or at local second-hand shops and donate the cash to HERA
• Make granola or quickbreads for your friends and family and ask for a donation in return
• Host a dinner at your house (don’t make it too fancy, but filling) and ask friends to donate to HERA what they would have spent on a dinner out
