Are You Fit to Fight?

June 12, 2012

Fit to Fight OC PhotoThe HERA Women’s Cancer Foundation is proudly partnering with the Fit to Fight Ovarian Cancer Triathlon Festival in Mason, OH.  While 2012 marks the 4th anniversary of the triathlon, this is the first time that HERA has been involved with a triathlon event, and our first time in Ohio.  After Elyse Jarard lost two friends to ovarian cancer, she got the triathlon up and running to raise awareness about the disease and raise funds for the cause.  A portion of the registration fees will benefit HERA.  Participants are also encouraged to do their own fundraising to help HERA.  We’ve got tips to make it easy; click here to set up your fundraising page.

The Fit to Fight Ovarian Cancer Triathlon Festival is scheduled Sunday, July 1, starting at 7:30 am at Corwin Nixon Park in Mason, OH.  The event includes a women’s only triathlon/duathlon, a men’s triathlon/duathlon, a kids’ tri, and a 5K run/walk; there’s something for everyone!

What started as a way to help women improve their physical health has grown into a unique festival for all ages and all abilities.  It’s a perfect fit for HERA’s key message promoting women’s health and empowerment.  Get fit to fight, and get registered today!  Click here for registration info.
